TL;DR

First of all, pardon the radio silence here! It's been a few months of busy schoolwork between heavy rainfalls since August and life admin paperwork behind the scenes. I'll be back with more long-form writing here and across other pubs I run in the Atmosphere, especially with The Atmospheric Furry Radar and The (Weekly) Mixtape Rolls at , which been stuck in the backburner for so long. Now, on the paid memberships part...

You might already seen those membership tiers over at The Atmospheric Furry Radar or even here at ~ajhalili2006's blog and musings in the Atmosphere. In case you missed it, here's a little sneak peek to those:

The Individual Sponsor membership tier on Atmospheric Furry Radar in annual pricing on the signup flow.

ICYMI: How does this work in the Atmosphere?

The crew did a write-up of this over at Leaflet Lab Notes and you can sign up to be the first to try. Details at the linked post below πŸ‘‡

Creator pricing wise, it's the usual 5% platform fee1 similar to Buy Me a Coffee and Ko-fi2 alongside the regular payment processor fees (plus anti-fraud features if you have Radar enabled) from Stripe if you do. Note that Stripe account linking is Atmosphere account-wide, not just per-publication like Substack does, so bear with that in mind.

Behind the scenes setup

Since I will be using the same Stripe account I am using for my self-hosted blog, payouts go to my Wise USD balance3 first via ACH but since I use 's details (it's very obvious if you know that is currently operating as an fiscally hosted org under HCB) rather than spending USD 500+4 with setting up a LLC for and do paperwork to open a USD bank account (or just use Wise Business as usual) I have to move a bigger chunk of those to our org funds here minus fiscal host fees and keep small amounts for daily expenses and covering refunds and chargebacks because "what goes in a US 501(c)(3) non-profit stays within the US 501(c)(3) non-profit sphere". Once Stripe officially launch in the Philippines for standard accounts (you can already do that with Express accounts on places like GitHub Sponsors years ago)

Any perks?

You know the usuals across all tiers:

  • Sponsors-only or sponsors-first content and updates

  • Shout-outs on socials when tou subscribe/upgrade and on each blog post here as long as you stay subscribed to the paid tiers

  • Private community with fellow sponsors over at Discord/Telegram/WhatsApp/Signal

I haven't decided yet if doing any tier-specifics perks yet (like most creators do), especially on the part with discounts on future freelancing work, planned digital products and such. If you have ideas, I'm all ears with those.

Do you accept corporate sponsors?

Not yet personally, but if you want for , just shoot a email at sponsors@recaptime.dev or visit https://recaptime.dev/donate and we'll entertain those inquires from time to time.

And that's the (belated) Atmospheric paid membership setup update for now. I'll be sharing my September 2026 stats update once the exam week settled down, probably during the semestrial break next week. See you soon again!
